Office Care Services ltd have the cleaning contact with all the Halfords stores in the UK and Ireland, Halfords requested that all their stores be able to order cleaning products via the office care website and also manage individual store budgets.

• Our web designers developed a bespoke ecommerce system that allowed individual Halfords stores to place orders via the website.
• In a scenario where a store went over budget the store user is notified onscreen giving them the option to amend the transaction or proceed regardless. Similarly each transaction must meet a minimum spend figure.
• An automated email notification of orders that place a store over budget are sent to Halfords head office, the accounts manger at Halfords is then required to approve the order via the ‘Halfords administration area’ on the Office Care website so that the order can be cleared for processing.
• Halfords stores can view their previous transaction via the website securely by using their unique login credentials.
• A second administration area allows Office Care Services Ltd to add, modify or remove accounts for Halfords stores from the underlying database. Upload data files, giving Halfords stores specific information on contracted cleaning hours and repairs of cleaning equipment. Products can also be to be added, modified or removed from the underlying database. Password resets can be conducted form the administration area.
• Previous transactions can be fully searched, date ranges, product type and store number can be used to define the search criteria.

The Craftsman Gallery required a dynamic website that allowed them to catalogue all works by each of the artists who sell work through the gallery.

Again a bespoke, secure administration area was developed by the Swanwebtech web programming team which allows the administrators of The Craftsman Gallery to add artists to the web site along with their corresponding art works. The admin area allows the Craftsman Gallery staff to upload photographs of the art works currently for sale along with other information such as price, medium (oil, watercolour etc.) and title of art work.

In addition to this visitors to the website needed to be able to access all works by a particular artist. The web application automatically orders the art works by artist speeding up the process of maintaining the web site.

Furthermore the home page displays a selection of artworks currently for sale. Which of the catalogued art works are displayed on the home page is again controlled by the Craftsman Gallery staff through the administration area.

This website entails a fully customised dynamic aspect which allows the administrators of M & R Commercials to maintain a list of vehicle parts that are available for sale. Part details can be removed, added or amended via the secure admin area, an image showing each vehicle part can also be uploaded directly from the administrator’s computer onto the website, allowing for quick end easy updates. Visitors to this website can use a custom search box to help find those all important items, boosting sales prospects.
